WhatsApp starts in 2025 A brand new update introduces new ways to interact with friends and family. A wide range of new features and design improvements such as camera effects, selfie stickers, and quick reactions are now making their way to WhatsApp users around the world.

Camera effects for video calls were originally introduced last year, and are improved in the latest update with additional options. The new version of WhatsApp allows users to choose from the same 30 wallpapers, filters and effects that were released last year, when they take a video or photo and send it in their chats. This should be available on iOS and Android.

The upcoming new addition to WhatsApp, Selfie stickers, only available on Android, iOS will get them very soon. If you’re a fan of custom stickers, you’ll now be able to turn your selfies into a sticker with just a few clicks. Just tap on the sticker on “Create Sticker” and you will be presented with a camera option to take a selfie and create your own sticker.

Speaking of stickers, the new update allows WhatsApp users to easily share the sticker pack they like directly in their conversations.

And last but not least, all WhatsApp users should now be able to access messages much faster. Simply double-tap the message to reply and quickly scroll through the most frequently used reaction.

Although WhatsApp tests dozens of new features and improvements every month, the app only gets one major update every month. The previous three updates introduced custom menus, voice message texts, and improved communication.
