Trump extends TikTok deadline after tariffs blow up deal to sell the app to U.S. investors

[ad_1]

With the exception of a deal at the last minute to sell the famous short video application Tiktok to the owners of the United States, the dark application was scheduled to become dark from today, Saturday, April 5. The law signed by former President Joe Biden in April gave the owner of Tiktok, the Chinese company bytedance, until January 19 to strip the application or ban it in the United States, but an executive thing signed by President Donald Trump on the day of his second inauguration made Tiktok his hands to 75 days. The executive application protects the application until April 5.

The United States wants to remove US TIKTOK operations from China's control of commitment. There are concerns that the Chinese Communist party will demand the personal information used by Tiktok users for us to open and sign their accounts. There are also fears that China uses the application to implement the young US fans in the application with advertising.

These were the reasons for President Trump late in his first term to try to force Tijook to American investors. But the time was run out when the 2020 elections began to eat more president's time. During his second term, President Trump Tijook loves because he feels that he helped him win the youth vote in the elections last year. But Trump still wants the application to end by American investors or companies.

Another report stated that the deal was in place that would lead to American ownership of the majority of Tijook's operations, and the deal could put the majority of the application in the hands of American investors while it could have maintained the minority share. However, it was reported that the deal was exposed by Beijing after President Trump raised the customs tariff on US imports from China by 54 %.

And the good news for us for Tiktok lovers is that they have at least 75 other days to enjoy the application and there is a good opportunity for the additional days to the United States and China to negotiate the sale of the application.
