Just when you thought mobile tech leakers had nothing left to reveal The Galaxy S25 family is awaiting its first big event next week Unannounced Event 2025, Living Legend Steve Hemmerstoffer has dropped a bomb on us all, giving us our first clear (and reliable) look at what the secret Samsung device was supposed to have up its sleeve this year.
naturally, S25 Slim It had been in the news for a couple of months before this unprecedented leak, creating a bit of mystery and some expectation that the first-of-its-kind device might not be able to live up to it.
Don’t get me wrong, I was personally pleased with the simple yet eye-catching design when I covered The breaking news story that broke yesterday, but now that I’ve had time to sleep on it, I’m more annoyed than attracted by some of the key details.
Why so big?!
When I heard the first rumblings about the potential The Galaxy S25 Slim’s screen size, I basically refused to listen to it. There was simply no way Samsung could be so clueless as to add a surprise, all-new fourth model to its high-end flagship smartphone lineup with exactly the same 6.7-inch display as S24 Plus and S25 Plus.
Aside from making the S25+ obsolete just a few months after its release, it didn’t make any sense to me for another big reason. Emphasis on “big”. That’s right, I don’t see much point in rolling out another giant Galaxy flagship no matter how big its waist is.
Hey, guess what, the S25 Slim looks suspiciously similar to the S25 Plus.
Slim Android device with 6.2-inch “vanilla” sweet spot panel The Galaxy S24 or even below that mark was what I would have expected Samsung to go for and try to challenge current industry trends, but unfortunately, it seems… S25 Slim Even larger than initially expected. Specifically, longer and wider than The Galaxy S25 Plus overall, which means its screen size is pretty much guaranteed to sit dangerously close to the screen The S25 Ultra is approximately 6.8 inches in size.
this a lot of screen real estate, which is obviously not a problem in and of itself. But it makes it very difficult for Galaxy S25 Slim To play the whole elegance card and thus clearly distinguish itself from its cousins (or are they half-brothers?), not to mention the little problem that arises when you consider such an unnecessarily large number alongside an alarmingly small number.
Say that’s not the case!
Because I always expected Galaxy S25 Slim Going the route of compact and elegant design, I promised myself that I wouldn’t let any battery capacity rumors shock me. But while you are certainly willing to submit An opportunity for Samsung to prove that a 6-inch or so premium phone with a 3,500 mAh cell can work well in this day and age, making S25 Slim Larger than the S25 Plus and Equipping it with a battery less than 4,000 mAh would be a complete failure.

Keep in mind that we’re talking about a device that will likely measure 159mm in height and 6.4mm in thickness (not taking the camera bump into account). Something like this Meanwhile, the Oppo Reno 13 is 157.9mm long, has a 7.2mm waist, and packs a massive 5,600mAh battery.
Samsung own The mid-range Galaxy A36 is expected to come with a reasonably slim 7.4mm profile, a noticeably large 6.6-inch or so display, and a massive 5,000mAh battery very soon. I refuse to go any further on this point because I refuse to believe it Galaxy S25 Slim It will accept a smaller battery than a five-year-old Galaxy S20, but since there’s rarely that kind of smoke without fire in the rumor mill, I can’t get too excited about Samsung’s eventual fourth member of the S25 family either. Which brings me to my final point…
Why were you so late?!?!
There’s certainly nothing wrong with spacing out your smartphone launches and not rushing out unfinished products from the factory, but what’s so special and groundbreaking about this product? Galaxy S25 Slim We (it is said) have to do it Wait another three or four months for that?

That would be incredibly ridiculous, and in a way, would rub salt on a wound that will likely leave a lot of hardcore Samsung fans feeling a great deal of pain and shame when iPhone 17 Air is coming out. Yes, I’m going there, and I still can’t believe it Samsung can be accused of imitating Apple with Galaxy S25 Slimthis thing is starting to look more and more hopeless and half-baked, with no clear goal, target audience, or compelling selling point. But hey, he’s (relatively) slim, and it’s not like you’re going to cover that waist with a chunky bag anyway, now, right?
