Samsung’s Secure Folder has major flaw allowing images to be viewed under certain conditions

Samsung Secure is a feature that gives Galaxy users a safe place to store sensitive data including special files, applications, videos and photos. The folder provides protection by using the pass and encryption code. But if you are using the safe folder, it may not be the personal data you store inside it is safe as you think or Samsung may believe.
Reddit shared post a post containing many Galaxy hardware owners. According to this Redditor, the contents inside the safe folder can be accessed even while the folder locks. This will be shocking in light of Samsung's insistence that the safe folder "is protected by the Samsung Knox defensive platform, which encrypts all the data stored there, while making sure that your information is kept safe from any harmful attacks."

The safe folder is designed to prevent access to photos and videos inside the folder, even when opening it, if an application or video is requested. However, this protection appears to work only if the app that seeks to access photos and personal personal clips works from the main profile. If the application that requests access is the application file application, something different will happen.

If someone has an actual control of your Samsung device, installing the work file application like Shelter will allow this person to display photos and videos that the owner of the device saved in his safe folder. This is because the shelter can create a business profile on any device, including a Galaxy phone or tablet. This would make pictures and videos open to reach them.

Apparently, in this scenario, only pictures and videos are weak and any other type of data is still safe.

There is one part of possible good news. If you have a job profile prepared on your Galaxy device by the employer, and it is prepared so that work files cannot be accessed at all, the photos and videos in the safe folder may remain protected. You can also try to prevent photos and videos outside the safe folder by encrypting them. Non -encrypted virtual, if you open the menu that belongs to the safe folder and select the "Encrypt" option, this will prevent Android photos from accessing safe folder files.

Another drawback can appear in a safe folder any person in the safe folder. Go to Settings > Security and privacy > More privacy settings > Permission Clicking on the permission of a person with a malicious intention will be shown in the folder. Usually, clicking on the site's permission will reveal many of these applications.

We hope that Samsung will tighten matters with its safe folder before it becomes known as the folder in the lung. Make sure to enable your safe folder encryption. It can save someone you don't know from seizing your Galaxy, display photos and videos that you think are protected.
