[ad_1] But here's what I don't understand: Although it's far from what we'd call a perfect product with a truly usable and reliable design, the Mate XT uses two hinges with distinct folding mechanisms. At least in theory, I'm sure you can imagine finding something you can do on a 6.4-inch screen when the device is folded and on a 7.9-inch screen when it's partially unfolded, plus when you might need to take advantage of that impressive size Full 10.2 inches. The Huawei Mate XT is a very promising device but it is not a very mainstream device. On the other hand, Samsung is said to be planning to use the same folding method for both hinges, which would create nice, natural protection for the massive 12.4-inch panel, while negatively impacting the product's versatility in a big way. If the first ever Galaxy Tri-Fold is fully foldable as all the latest rumors suggest instead of folding once in and once out, can you imagine any realistic use case for it in its partially unfolded form? I can't either. Am I saying Samsung should strive for this? Galaxy S24 Or the S25 series production numbers here? Absolutely not. I fully realize that making this device is very difficult and very expensive, which is part of the reason I don't think it should happen. Not now, at least, and probably not in 2026 either. Am I saying that Samsung should avoid any and all design gambles? Also not at all, especially in the foldable market. But the company must move from the old âthrow everything at the wall and see what sticksâ strategy and boldly embrace its true pioneering stance. Samsung needs to focus more on improving the Z Fold 6 in noticeable ways rather than trying out new hardware that very few people will buy. | Image credit â PhoneArenaWhat is Samsung looking to achieve here?
It should be too late for Samsung to conduct limited-scale trials by now

Samsung should grow up and stop with the small-scale experiments already!
