[ad_1] The image shows that the iPhone alarm is set to 1 0am it didn't even go off 2 pm. | Image credit: bryanlolwut, Reddit subscriber "I thought I was losing my mind. These damn things either go off late, go off silently (even though each setting shows the maximum volume level for the ringer, alarm, etc.), or the alarms turn themselves off all night long?? At this point Last, I thought I might have turned it off overnight while half asleep the first time it happened and then forgot about it [it]. The second, third, fourth time I knew something was up.” — Stallion64, Reddit subscriber This may not seem like a serious problem but it is as serious as the consequences that oversleeping can cause. As one Redditor wrote today, "I use my iPhone alarm clock along with an alarm clock I got from Amazon. One morning it didn't go off and almost went off." Back in 2023, when a similar issue occurred, Apple asked iPhone users to go to... Settings > Face ID and passcodeand type your passcode. On the next page, turn off Attention Alert. This is a feature that prevents your iPhone screen from becoming dim, and will lower the volume of some alerts if it detects you're staring at your iPhone screen. The idea is that alarms don't go off because the device mistakenly recognizes your face by looking at your phone's screen. Obviously, this is still an issue for many iPhone users who rely on the alarm on their iPhone to wake up at a certain time. If you're having this issue, you can always turn on an alarm on your Apple Watch or iPad. If you have an old phone lying around in a drawer, charge it, connect it to Wi-Fi, and set an alarm on that device. Hopefully we'll see Apple release an update that will fix the problem that causes so many iPhone users to get fired from work, kicked out of school, or not diagnosed with a serious illness.
