OnePlus 13 series gets its first taste of updates

[ad_1]

OnePlus just launched OnePlus 13 and The OnePlus 13R is out around the world, and while many of you are probably still waiting to get your hands on it, once you do, the update with some improvements should come your way right away.

last week, OnePlus has started rolling out improvements to the global versions of OnePlus 13Rincluding those in Europe, India and North America. The OxygenOS 5.0.0.403 update is being released in phases, so not everyone will get it all at once – you may have to wait a little longer to get yours.

The company has also started rolling out an update for the flagship OnePlus 13named OxygenOS 5.0.0.402. While both updates share some similarities, the update for the flagship model includes some additional improvements and bug fixes. But let's start with what is the same for both.
First, both updates bring the December 2024 Android security patch, which enhances the security of the system. It also adds charging status to live alerts for a better user experience and aims to enhance system stability and performance across the board. Both updates also improve Bluetooth stability and expand compatibility, which is always welcome. One of the most interesting additions, in my opinion, is the Touch to Share feature, which allows users to easily share photos and files with one tap, including with iOS devices.

to OnePlus 13RThe update also introduces custom watermarks in the Photos app. Additionally, it fixes an issue where photos captured with the rear camera were too bright in photo mode. It also enhances colors in images captured with the main camera and telephoto lens, improving overall camera performance and stability.

the OnePlus 13 The update, however, packs a bigger punch. With a changelog that is much longer than 13R's, it includes a lot of new features and bug fixes. We're talking about a roughly 1GB update, so make sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi network before downloading. Here's what the update brings to the flagship model:
  • New watermark styles and customization options
  • Improved clarity for 4K 60fps videos
  • Better color performance for photos taken with the main camera
  • Improved color and color accuracy in rear camera shots
  • Improve sound quality
  • New AI features in Google Messages
  • Option to add a 1×2 weather widget to your home screen

I always think it's a great idea to stay up to date with software updates. It fixes those annoying bugs, adds cool new features, and of course keeps your device secure, so be sure to install it as soon as it reaches your device.
