[ad_1] Part of the fraud includes the goal that receives fixed requests to respond to the notification. | Krebsonsecurity credit image What the attackers scream is to feel upset with all the notifications you received. They will tell you that your account is being attacked and suspended, you will need to give them a single -time symbol you received from Apple. Don't do that! Once they are given this symbol, they can change your iPhone passcode that takes you out of the device. You will not be able to prevent thieves from changing passwords to all your applications, including financial applications that allow them to transfer your money to their accounts. Once the attacker changes the passcode to the phone, even the permissible factors are not auxiliary, and in fact, the use of 2FA allows the bad actors to check the requests they submit to change passwords to your applications. Just to be clear, the best way to stay away from this attack is to ignore the phone call you receive after receiving "password reset" notifications. If you pick up the phone accidentally, do not reveal the code for one time. Again, abandoning this symbol is the main reason behind the deception of some iPhone users (most of whom are elderly) with this trick. If you know which users of iPhone feel that you may be easy goals for this attack, take a few minutes of your day to explain them and tell them what they should do to avoid eliminating it.
