Perhaps we were all present – we send a text and immediately hope that we can recover it, just to watch it retreat without any way to retract it. Well, that frustrated moment may soon be something of the past, at least in Google messages.

Google’s messages appear to be finally adding a long-term feature-which allows users to delete RCS conversations to everyone. The latest version of the version of applications (20250131_02_RC00) reveals that users will soon get two options when deleting a message: “Delete everyone” and “Delete for me.

Currently, the RCS chat only removes it from your own device, while the recipient can still see. But with this update, you will be able to erase messages for both parties, such as WhatsApp.

However, there is a major difference – Google messages appear to notify the recipients when the sender deletes or even attempts to delete a message. On WhatsApp, the recipient can see that a message has been deleted, but they do not get a separate notice about it. This may be embarrassing for anyone who prefers more privacy.

It is still not clear when Google will put forward the delete of RCS chat, but since the feature is already in business, it is likely to come soon.
