like Samsung is preparing to reveal what has been long awaited The Galaxy S25 series in a few days, did not neglect its powerful phone lineup either. After a year Galaxy XCover 7 launch, a recent report reveals that the company is still keeping an eye on this niche but important group of devices.

We were expecting the next powerful device in the lineup to be the XCover 8 Pro, especially since then Leaks appeared about her last year, but her fate is still unclear. but, A new report suggests that Samsung was focusing on the XCover 7 Pro. Unlike the current XCover 7, which runs on MediaTek's Dimensity 6100+ SoC, the Pro may pack Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor to boost performance.

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset was announced in September last year. It makes its global debut in the newly launched version Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G. This chip promises a 40% faster GPU, a 30% AI performance boost, and a 12% improvement in power efficiency compared to its predecessor.

Aside from the chipset, the report doesn't provide any additional details about the upcoming powerful phone, and we still don't know what other upgrades Samsung might be planning for the XCover 7 Pro. It's possible we could see a larger battery, given the current XCover 7 has a 4,050mAh battery – an upgrade here would be a welcome change. There may also be a better camera on the table, but for now, we'll just have to wait and see.

After all, the main selling point of the Galaxy XCover series is its rugged design. For example, the current XCover 7 features an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, along with MIL-STD-810H certification.

This certification means that the phone has passed stringent environmental tests designed to measure how well it copes with the conditions it may encounter during its lifespan. Basically, this means that it can withstand extreme conditions like extreme heat, cold, rain, dust, and even water drops. It's a badge of honor for durability, showing that the product can withstand a lot of wear and tear.
