When it comes to camera systems, just Galaxy S25 Ultra It features a hardware upgrade to its ultra-wide camera, bringing the megapixel count to 50. However, as we all know, the results it achieves aren't just about the hardware – post-processing algorithms and AI tricks play an important role in modern smartphone photography.So, at the Unpacked event, we set out to take some photos with Samsung's new Android rivals, before testing them properly in our top-secret lab. You can find those below, but keep in mind that during such events, lighting conditions are difficult to say the least.

These quick shots show that the S25 Ultra performs well in challenging indoor conditions. There's not a lot of noise and you get a lot of detail, even with zoomed-in shots. White balance is quite accurate, too.
We didn't get to test everything in this short hands-on opportunity - things like improved omnipotence are one of those things we haven't tried yet.
We're also interested in testing noise reduction in videos, which Samsung also said has been improved in the new S25 series.
We'll be going into more detail about the camera over the coming days, but these first shots definitely show some promise.
