Promising report on the possibility “Freezing” prices for the Galaxy S25 family compared to last year’s S24 trio seemed like a pretty great way to start this official An eventful week, but unfortunately, the good news stops there, at least for now.
Is 12GB of RAM still enough in this day and age?
If it is enough for everyone Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus variants around the world, Samsung seems to be thinking more about the future Galaxy S25 Ultra Owners will have no problem “settling” for the same amount of memory as everyone else The S24 Ultra units were released around this time last year.
But while I personally haven’t heard many complaints about multitasking from S24 Ultra users (or even “vanilla” owners) S24 with 8GB RAM), Recent rapid advances in artificial intelligence have many people worried about the future. It’s certainly no coincidence that AI pioneer Google has put out 16GB of the good stuff at all Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL configurations, plus 256 and 512GB storage variants Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Then you have parables The OnePlus 13, which starts with 12GB of RAM and goes up to 24GB…in China only. Naturally, this super flagship packs your choice of 12 or 16GB of memory in the US, and thus has a major advantage over The Galaxy S24 Ultra seems unlikely to cancel out the S25 Ultra.
Bottom line, whether it’s necessary or not, it’s certainly a bit disappointing to hear Samsung’s upcoming Ultra probably won’t be upgraded to 16GB of RAM outside of markets like China, South Korea, India, and Vietnam. What’s even more frustrating is to think that the company has released a file The Galaxy S21 Ultra will be available in select European and Asian regions throughout 2021 before clearly realizing that this is something people don’t really want or need.
What else do we know about the Galaxy S25 Ultra?
In short, almost everything. We’re talking a Essentially a full spec sheet with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options, the latter two of which will apparently be paired with 16GB of RAM in Asia. That means The S25 Ultra will not be released in a 1TB configuration in the US and Europe or only with the 12GB RAM variant for the other two storage variants.

I’m honestly not sure which of these two possibilities is more depressing, and the only way Samsung could turn some frowns upside down is if Galaxy S25 Ultra This ends up retaining the previous pricing structure in the Western Hemisphere.
