Apple’s latest “smaller” announcement could actually be its new big cash cow

Apple was not just devices for a while now. IPhone is certainly the main revenue driver, but services grow up in Apple. In fact, Apple's services were brought alone 24 % of the company's revenues in 2024, making it the second largest section.

Now, while iPhone sales have increased steadily since the first decrease in 2007, growth has slowed and even in recent years. So, it is logical that Apple only outperforms the Apple axis and becomes more creative with other income flows, right? This is why we see changes to things like Apple TV and Apple Care+ recent subscription plans.

Apple TV finally spit to Android


It is happening - Apple TV is now available on Android! Frankly, this is something many of us, including me, had to happen. But late is better than not, right? only We were all waiting impatiently iPhone SE 4 to Drop, Apple pulled a curve ball and decided to expand its flowing scope by launching the Apple TV app on Android Worldwide devices. Apple TV+ and MLS Season dates directly via the new Apple TV app at Google Play Store. This is a big step for Apple broadcasting services, and open them to a much broader audience. So, what does that mean? More subscribers and more revenues, of course. Every new subscription fee is a victory for Apple. And so you know, this is not the first Apple battle outside the garden. Apple Music was available on Android for a while now. All this is part of the strategy to earn money from a broader customer base, even if not all Apple devices vibrate.

Subscriptions here, there and everywhere


Well, I will admit it - I am not the biggest fans of the subscriptions, but somehow got a lot of them. If you want to listen to music, watch new movies and shows, use useful tools, continue updating with the news ... you'll get the idea. These days, the subscriptions appear to be everywhere, and of course Apple jumped on that cart as well.

Recently, this has been reported Apple may be shaking things with Applecare as well. Instead of allowing customers to pay in advance for two years of coverage, they will have to subscribe - either monthly or annually. Some people may like the flexibility of monthly payments, but for others, the old option is to pay for the full two years in advance will definitely miss.

Moreover, Apple adds a new feature to iCloud+: Web application and service called invitations. Think about it as an answer to Apple for events planning applications such as Partiful, which helps you organize everything from birthday parties to, anything else that needs planning. So, yes, just another reason to stay shared.

Frankly, I will not be surprised if AIP features of Apple, part of Apple Intelligence, in the end, I end up behind the subscription wall as well.
