Apple risks losing its enviable fame with iPhone 17

Multiple reports have now emerged from reliable internal sources claiming that an iPhone is in development to copy the look of Google Pixel phones.
It is unclear if these are the rumors iPhone 17 Air or another member of iPhone 17 Family and that really doesn't matter that much. What matters is that if Apple, for some unimaginable reason, goes with this outlook and then abandons the desired identity it has earned for itself.
From being the company everyone copies to becoming the copyist. Although it wouldn't be the first time Apple has copied someone's homework.

The iPhone has enjoyed a very enviable position around the world for a very long time and the main reason for this is its design. Apple has always gone for a look that is instantly recognizable from a distance despite being very simple on the front. For the past few generations of iPhone models, the iconic camera setup on the back and the dynamic island on the front have been the leaked design of the iPhone. iPhone 17 Show off the camera bar that's heavily "inspired" by Google's Pixel phones. The camera bar which is already an established look for a series of phones that is also very popular around the world. Why does Apple think this is a good idea? You have Samsung's vertical triple camera design, Apple's "burner" camera setup, and Google's horizontal camera bar. When you have such distinctive, easily recognizable layouts for your phone, there's absolutely no reason to switch them up. Especially if your plan is to copy a competitor's design.
How plausible are these leaks?

A trusted industry tipster shared the above image and admitted there was a possibility it was incorrect. And yet they did too Evidence has been provided to suggest that the photo is in fact legitimate.
Image similar to iPhone 17 Which allegedly cannot be disclosed to the public contain a barcode. This barcode - which appears to be from a set iPhone 17 Prototypes - Provided more information about the prototypes mentioned. From batch numbers to customer account codes, it seems like it takes a lot of effort to fake a leaked image of a source that will never be named.
Could this be the iPhone 16E?

There is a possibility that these leaked images are of the iPhone 16E. The iPhone 16E is said to be what Apple will call its upcoming new phone iPhone SE model. One reason this might be the iPhone 16E is because the new model has apparently just entered production and so someone was able to take this photo.
However, both the guide and I doubt that this is the case. First, all the leaks about the iPhone 16E show a completely different design from this one. It is claimed to be similar to the iPhone 16E iPhone 14 from multiple reliable sources. This also stays in line with Apple's founding tradition iPhone SE Models on old phones.
In addition, other reports claim that the iPhone 16E will have only one rear camera, and not a full horizontal strip of it.
So...what is this?
Honestly, it's too early to know for sure but that's my hypothesis. I think this picture is either a hoax or... iPhone 17 Air. The tipster made a very interesting observation: the Apple logo looks very small in that photo.
This leads to the two possibilities mentioned above. Either this is a manipulated image or it is a very early part of the new image iPhone 17 Air. The Air is supposed to replace the iPhone Plus models this year because they have consistently failed to meet sales expectations. A smaller Apple logo may indicate the phone's commitment to slimming down everything.
But if a real iPhone is in the works, regardless of model, I think Apple is making a mistake. This decision won't be enough to hurt a big company like Apple but there's absolutely no reason to risk confusing your phones with its competitors.
If you're going to innovate, please do so in a way that brings the consumer something they haven't seen before.
